On Mondays, I’m usually at the Alpharetta Court and the Atlanta Court. Today is Monday, I started my day visiting the Alpharetta prosecutor. Afterwards, I got my client’s speeding ticket dismissed in Atlanta City Court. My client had been charged with driving 18 mph over the speed limit. Following negotiation with the prosecutor, I got the speed reduce to 14 over and then got the charge dismissed. My client was unable to attend court and I was there to fight his expired tag, registration charge. Following negotiations with the prosecutor, I was able to get the court to allow my client a pretrial diversion. Fighting my clients high speed ticket in Fulton County Juvenile Court On Monday, March 5, 2018, I appeared with my client and his father in the Fulton County Juvenile Court. My client was charged with driving 100 mph in a 65 mph zone. Following negotiation with the prosecutor, I got the court to agree to reduce my client’s Speed to 74 mph, which is 9 mph over the speed limit. My client is required to take a defensive driving class, which I have already had him complete. He will be required to produce a one page essay on the dangers of speeding and drive only two in from necessities, school, work, etc. He’s required to pay a $100 fine today and he is placed on phone in probation for 30 days. This is a wonderful outcome for this young man and his family. 3/5/18 4:30 PM metro Atlanta traffic update An accident reported with the left lane blocked and I – 235 E. at Chamblee Dunwoody Road. This accident involves three cars, all traffic is slowed on the inside perimeter. Traffic accident with right lane blocked on Highway 141 S. and Lenix Road. An accident reported at Winters Chapel Road and Walmart Drive. Traffic slow in the area. Road hazard, metal chain in laying two at I-285 north at Fulton Parkway avoid the second lane when driving.
