Fighting client's speeding ticket in Duluth Municipal Court. On Monday, April 9, 2018, I appeared for my client in Duluth Municipal Court. My client who lives in Florida could not return to Georgia to be in court. This client had been charged with a super speeding ticket, Driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone. Following negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get his speed reduced to 14 mph over the limit and then get his charge reduced to a simple traffic violation. This issue will remain in the local court and it will not be reported to the Georgia department of driver services. My client was extremely pleased with the outcome and he was delighted about not having to return to Georgia to go to court. He is another happy client of the Alpharetta, Georgia traffic ticket defense attorney Scott Miller. 770-408-1001On Monday, April 9, 2018, I appeared for my client in Duluth Municipal Court.

Alpharetta attorney Scott says, don’t drink and drive. When you go to a gathering where alcohol will be served, take a designated driver with you. If you are alone and have been drinking alcohol, leave your car and call Uber to take you home. There are services that will provide a driver who will come to your location and drive you home in your own vehicle. These driver services are available in the metro Atlanta area and have been publicized in the media. Working with DUI client's in Alpharetta Municipal Court. I frequently defend client's against DUI charges in the Alpharetta Municipal Court. Getting stopped for DUI is the beginning of a humiliating event, and your troubles are just beginning. In all likelihood, you will be placed in handcuffs, arrested, and taken to jail. Your vehicle will be impounded and inventoried. Any contraband material found in your vehicle will cause additional charges to be made against you. You will have to arrange bail, and you will have 10 days from the date of your arrest to save your driving privileges. Your first step should be to select a local DUI defense attorney to represent you. Hiring someone who regularly defends DUI clients in the local court is best. It is possible that a skilled DUI defense attorney could get your DUI charge reduced to reckless driving. In all likelihood you will have to attend a DUI school and perform many hours of community service. Getting client’s passing school bus charge dismissed in Roswell. I appeared with my client in Roswell Municipal Court to fight her passing school bus charge. She was on her way to work and did not see the stopped school bus. After negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get her charge dismissed. The Department of Georgia Drivers Services will not be made aware of this issue. Every day, local law enforcement officers in and around school zones protect our children. They vigorously look for offenders passing school buses that are loading or unloading passengers. A stopped school bus is a safety zone for children getting on or off of the bus. If you pass the bus, you are driving through a child’s safety zone, and you will get a ticket. Law Enforcement Officials vigorously enforce the law in and around school zones and school buses. Don’t be a fool in April, don’t drive distracted! I recently received a call from a potential client who was ticketed for distracted driving while stopped at a traffic light and looking at his GPS. This particular potential client was stopped at a traffic light looking for an alternative route. So, he consulted the GPS on his mobile device, and when the light turned green he did not notice the green light and held up traffic. He was issued a ticket for obstruction of traffic and distracted driving, after being observed by an officer. Advice, be alert and concentrate 100% of your attention on the roadway ahead! Do not become a distracted driver! Distracted driving kills! www.lawofficeofscottmiller.comI recently received a call from a potential client who was ticketed for distracted driving while stopped at a traffic light and looking at his GPS.

Don’t act like a fool in April, drive sober! I represented my client in Alpharetta Municipal court for a DUI. His vehicle had been stopped for failure to maintain lane and speeding. After failing a roadside sobriety test, my client was arrested for DUI. The DUI charge then became the most serious charge and the other charges become the lesser charges. After significant negotiations with the prosecutor, I was able to get his DUI charge reduced to reckless driving. I was also able to get the speeding and failure to maintain charges dismissed. My client, who plead to reckless driving, will be required to attend driving school and substance-abuse classes. After these requirements are completed “the hold and clear” “which means” an earned dismissal will be completed This is another very happy client of the Alpharetta, Georgia DUI defense attorney Scott Miller. www.lawofficeofscottmiller.comI represented my client in Alpharetta Municipal court for a DUI.
