Fighting client’s following too close charge: Monday, August 26, 2019, I appeared with my client in Roswell city court. He was charged with a following to close accident. After negotiations with a prosecutor, I got my client’s charge reduced to a basic rules violation. My client was required to pay $115 court cost, and the case was closed. Fighting client’s speeding ticket in Johns Creek Court On 9/27/19, I appeared with my client in John’s Creek Court. He was charged was speeding 69 mph in a 45 mph zone. This was the client’s 11th speeding ticket and the prosecutor was not willing to reduce his speed to 14 mph over the posted limit. I was however, able to get the prosecutor to reduce my client’s speed from 69 mph to 64 mph in a 45 mph zone.   His violation then becomes a two point violation. My client was required to paid a fine of $550 which was a satisfactory result considering his past history. My client is happy with the outcome and in my opinion this was an excellent conclusion to his 11th speeding ticket charge.

My clients case was dismissed via a hold and clear following completion of 40 hours community service, and a defensive driving course class, and payment of a fine of $500. Monday, August 19, 2019: I appeared with my client in for Forsyth State Court. My client had been charged with DUI, prescription drugs. She was involved in a major single car accident which almost took her life. Georgia code 40-6-391 driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, states that even though you may be taking legal medications prescribed by your doctor, you can still be arrested for DUI from legal drug use if your driving is impaired in anyway. For a first offense conviction of DUI the monetary fine can range between $300-$1000. Jail time can be between 10 days and 12 months. Following considerable negotiation with the prosecutor we agreed to a guilty plea to DUI with statutory minimums except for a fine of $700. This is a very good outcome for my client considering the severity of the accident. August 21, 2019: At 5:20 PM, I appeared in Roswell municipal court with my client. My client was charged with a very high speeding ticket, traveling 71 MPH in a 45 MPH zone I was able to negotiate a reduction in my client speed to 14 mph over the limit. This will be a non-reportable offense to the Georgia Department of driver services. My client's insurance company will not be informed of this issue. My client, who is under 21 years of age, was charged with driving his vehicle 83 mph in a 55 mph zone. Georgia code 40-6-181 establishes that a person convicted of driving 24 to 33 mph over the posted limit shall have four points added to his Georgia department of drivers record This conviction is considered a super speeder conviction and an additional $200 fine must be paid to the state of Georgia. Because my client is less than 21 years of age, if convicted of this speeding charge, he would have his drivers license suspended. After considerable negotiation with the court prosecutor, I was able to get the court to agree to reduce my client’s speed from 83 mph to 69 mph. This is 14 mph over the posted limit and would not suspend my client’s drivers license. My client was given two months to complete a drivers course, and return without attorney, and present to the court the alive at 25 certificate. He will then need to pay court fines of $308.75. Their is no super speeder fine because of the speed reduction I negotiated for him.

My client had been charged with speeding, driving 79 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Getting client’s DUI charge reduced in Dunwoody: In December, I appeared in Dunwoody City Court with my client, she had been charged with DUI. This was my client’s first in a lifetime DUI ticket. Following negotiation with the prosecutor, I got to court to agree to reduce my client’s charge to reckless driving. Although my client will have a reckless driving conviction on her record for three years, there will be no mention of DUI which is a much more serious charge. Attending a bond hearing for my client in Fulton jail. May 30, 2019, at 9:35 AM: I attended a bond hearing for my client in the Fulton County Jail. My client, who is a teenager, was arrested and charged with speeding and reckless driving for traveling 111 mph in a 45 mph zone. Georgia code 40 Dash six Dash 181 search limits on speed that can be traveled on various Georgia roads. Driving 111 mph in a 45 mph speed zone is an extreme and expensive violation. I negotiated for my client a signature bond, which requires no money be posted for his release, subject to conditions of the pretrial hearing. Fighting client’s traffic tickets in DeKalb Recorders Court Thursday, June 6, 2019: I appeared with my client DeKalb Recorders Court. My client had been charged with driving with an expired drivers license, failure to maintain lane, and causing a vehicle accident. Prior to going to court, I had my client get her drivers license reinstated. I presented to the court a letter from my client’s insurance company stating, that the damage to the other car had been repaired to the owner satisfaction. After considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I got the court to dismiss all of my client’s charges.
