Fighting client's drug charge in Milton, GA. On March 6, 2017, I appeared in Milton City Court to fight my client's a marijuana possession charge. Prior to this appearance in court, I had negotiated successfully with the prosecutor for a diversion/dismissal of this case. The diversion/dismissal could be accomplished by my client completing certain steps that were ordered by the court. If the steps are accomplished, then the court agreed not to prosecute. One of the steps for my client was to pass a random drug screen when appearing in court. Unfortunately, my client failed the drug screen and the test showed marijuana use. Fortunately, after considerable conversation and negotiation, I got the prosecutor to agree to allow my client sufficient time to pass the next drug screen. The Judge agreed to the reset and no additional penalties were given to my client. On March 6, 2017, I appeared in Milton City Court to fight my client's a marijuana possession charge.

On march 8, 2017, I appeared in Fulton State Court to defend my client against a theft by taking charge. After negotiations and discussion with the prosecutor, and because of the fact that my client has no prior history, I got the prosecutor to agree to a dismissal for my client. However, the prosecutor needs more time for do diligence and to review my client's file. So, his case has been reset for April. Fighting client's charge of shoplifting at Perimeter Mall I appeared with my client and her family in Dunwoody City Court. My client had been charged with shoplifting at Perimeter Mall. She is a young teen and easily influenced by her peers. Her group was visiting the mall during recent Christmas vacation. Someone in the group suggested that it would be cool to walk out of the store, with Items hidden in their clothes. My client, who knew this was wrong thing to do, gave in to the encouragement of the others. She was stopped by security when she exited the store. Now I have, an embarrassed family, and an embarrassed client, to represent in the Dunwoody City Court, for a criminal misdemeanor charge. I contacted the merchant and got them to agree not to peruse charges against my client. I got them to agree to do this, because she is a good person who made a bad decision, while trying to get accepted in this group. She now realizes what an terrible mistake it was. I got the court to agree to dismiss the charges, after my client writes an essay on damages done, to all parties by shoplifting, and performing community service, and attending a anti-shoplifting class. This is another happy family, helped by the Alpharetta, Georgia shoplifting defense attorney Scott Miller.Fighting client's charge of shoplifting at Perimeter Mall I appeared with my client and her family in Dunwoody City Court.
