Client's speeding ticket dismissed in Alpharetta. On February 27, 2019, I appeared with my client in the Alpharetta Municipal Court. My client had been charged with a super speeder ticket. Georgia code 40 – 6–189 classifies a super speeder as anyone convicted of speeding at 75 mph or more on a 2 Lane Rd, or 85 mph on any road in the state of Georgia. After considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get the court to agree to reduce my client’s speed to 14 mph over the limit after my client completes a defensive driving class. This will become a non-reporting incident to the Georgia Department of driver Service and is essentially a dismissal. Fighting illegal client’s driving without license charge. On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, I appeared with my client in Alpharetta Municipal Court. My client had been charged with operating a motor vehicle without a drivers license. He also had an outstanding bench warrant for his arrest because he missed a prior court date. My client, who is an illegal, was very worried about deportation. I had him meet me at the Alpharetta Municipal Court, rather than have him turn himself in at the jail, because of the bench warrant. Following lengthy discussion with the court, I negotiated a fine – only guilty plea with the prosecutor. My client paid the fine in full and was released. His bench warrant was withdrawn.
