Fighting client hit and run in Fulton State Court: On Thursday, September 27, 2018, I appeared in Fulton State Court with my client. My client had been charged with hit-and-run. This particular case involves circumstances that made the prosecutor unwilling or unable to reduce the charge of hit-and-run to a lesser charge, which is most often the result. Following consultation with my client he pleaded no contest. My client's license will still be suspended but he will be able to immediately get a limited license from the Georgia Department of driver services. This is a good outcome for my client who was in a very difficult position. He is happy with the outcome, because he can continue to drive. On Thursday, September 27, 2018, I appeared in Fulton State Court with my client. My client had been charged with hit-and-run.

It states that a person charged with possession of marijuana, of 1 oz or less, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by imprisonment not to exceed 12 months, or a fine not to exceed $1000, or both. The six months will allow my client to complete community service hours, and complete a drug and alcohol evaluation, and complete a treatment program. At the end of six months, if all the requirements are met by my client, her case will be dismissed. On Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 8:33 AM: I appeared with my client in the Sandy Springs Municipal Court to fight her marijuana possession charge.

He had charged with speeding 86 mph in a 65 mph zone. This ticket is a super speeder ticket and if convicted my client would lose his drivers license, because he is under 21 years age. After considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I got my client’s speed reduced to 79 in a 65. This is 14 mph over the limit and therefore is not a super speeder ticket and will not reported to the Georgia Department of motor vehicles.
