My client had been charged with a disorderly conduct ordinance violation. My client was alleged to have threatened a friend, however this was an April fools joke, (prank gone bad). According to the New York Times, "a Cobb County, GA. police officer responding to a call of a fight in progress, was shot at by a man with a gun." Don't fall for fishing scams by criminals! My client recently received an email stating that his PayPal account needed some attention. These unsolicited and fraudulent emails are sent to thousands of email addresses. The crooks hope that they can entice many victims to provide sensitive information about their accounts. Once the criminals are in possession of your passwords and your account numbers they can steal your money and your sensitive account information. These emails look harmless at first glance. They may be from a friend who's computer they have hacked and taken control of. If you receive a strange email from a friend, beware of opening any attachments or providing any of your information.
