Driving your parents car that has an expired registration.

January 31, 2017, I received three different calls today from perspective clients, who were charged with driving a vehicle with an expired registration.
Two of the three drivers were driving cars that did not belong to them.
I frequently get calls from people ticketed for driving their parents unregistered car or their friends or
siblings unregistered car.

Regardless of whom the owner of a vehicle is, it is the driver's responsibility to make sure that the vehicle being driven has a current and up to date registration and insurance coverage.
If you fail to do this, you may be ticketed and taken to jail.
